INDUSTRIAL>Earth Leakage & Monitoring Units (EMU)
The EMU Unit is housed in an enclosure manufactured from a choice of GRP, Thermoplastic, Stainless Steel or Mild Steel materials.
A-Belco offers variations of EMU units to include isolation, short circuit and overload protection according to individual customer design requirements.
A 30mA RCD, EMU and socket with provision for connecting a pilot conductor is featured as standard within the unit.
Application - Earth monitoring
The Earth Monitoring function detects loss of earth continuity and acts to limit high earth fault impedance to prevent reoccurring disconnections and protect the connected equipment. |
Application - Earth leakage
The Earth Leakage function acts to disconnect the circuit breaker upon detection of an earth fault.
Materials
Type 1 - IP65 Glass Reinforced Polyester (with optional clear or opaque polycarbonate cover)
Type 2 - IP55 Halogen-free Self Extinguishing Thermoplastic
Type 3 - IP66 Mild Steel pre-galvanised and painted
Type 4 - IP66 Stainless Steel 304 or 316L
