The recent freeze and severe weather is sure to have highlighted the need for effective points heating systems across the UK’s railway network.

Now the chill has thawed A-Belco Engineering can provide a quality engineered solution through the design and build of fully automatic electric Points Heating systems, whatever the individual requirement or rail zone.

From ‘one-off’ standard and special designs through to volume manufacturing, A-Belco can provide a first class electrical engineering solution. With a qualified team of design and manufacturing engineers, we can build systems to any design specification.

The points heating control equipment complies with the Network Rail RT/E/S/40045 Issue 4 specification. Fully automatic electric points heating cubicles, supplying up to 12 points, respond to air temperature and precipitation as a means of determining weather conditions and are activated at a pre-selected temperature range. Optional remote monitoring allows complete control over system operation, monitoring and testing.

The stainless steel points heating cubicles offer full circuit protection through MCBs for control and distribution and are also available with an over ride and test facility.

A range of bespoke REC supply and distribution cabinets, transformer units and portable tool transformers are also manufactured to individual requirements and demands by A-Belco Engineering.
