Cortem UK, in association with Cortem S.p.A, is an A-Belco Group company primarily operating in the hazardous area marketplace. Although the Cortem S.p.A brand has been recognized in the industry as a key player for over 30 years, Cortem UK has now established a wider presence in the design, manufacture and assembly of specialist hazardous area products for Zone 1 and Zone 2 areas, EEx d, EEx e, EEx ia and EEx n applications.

A market leader for specialist flameproof enclosures Cortem UK offers quality and competitive bespoke solutions for a comprehensive range of robust EEx d systems approved to European, Russian and Australian certification to both Gas and Dust requirements.

Designed to withstand wet, dusty and corrosive environments the or marine grade aluminium and 316L stainless steel IP66 CCFE, CCA and S Ranges are manufactured to give the highest levels of protection in extreme offshore and onshore environments. Cortem EExd IIB and IIC ranges are ideal for all junction box, control and instrumentation applications such as process control systems, motor starters, annunciation units, PLC systems, instrumentation panels, cable termination boxes and electronic equipment.

Featuring hinges, threaded covers, mounting brackets and stainless steel cover bolts the Cortem enclosures are drilled and threaded to the customer's specification offering a long-life and low maintenance EEx d solution.

ATEX-approved electrical devices for internal or external operation include terminal blocks, pushbuttons, indicator lamps, switches, meter and fuse units, circuit breakers, signals, isolators, remote control switches, transformers: all for gas and dust zone 1 and 2 applications. Optional anti-condensation coating, support brackets, drain and breather valve and glass windows are also available.

EEx d Flameproof Motors

Cortem UK also offer a comprehensive range of ATEX-approved EExd IIC motors. Designed for use on sites with potentially explosive atmospheres containing flammable fumes, combustible dust or ignitable gases, the motors feature high IP ratings, power from 0.09kW to 200kW, voltage from 380V to 415V and from 660V to 720V and insulation class F. The cast-iron three-phase, electric motors of robust construction can be designed with separate motor starters and control.

EEx d Lighting

The widest range of EEx d and EEx de lighting at Cortem UK features wellglass, obstruction light, floodlight, traffic light, standard and emergency fluorescent lamp luminaire ranges. All ATEX-certified and approved to zones 1, 2, 21 and 22.
