Cortem UK is New Industry Host for SIRA Courses

Cortem UK, manufacturer of hazardous area products are working with Sira Test & Certification Ltd to provide a comprehensive programme of technical courses for UK-based assemblers and installers of ATEX-approved equipment at their premises in Ashington.

In light of changing legislation and responsibility for manufacturers, assemblers and installers of hazardous area equipment, the first course was delivered as a result of key analysis undertaken by Sira.

Nick Skucha, Managing Director of Cortem UK, said: "At Cortem UK we believe it is our responsibility to ensure the safety and well being of anyone working in installing our products within a hazardous area environment.

We approached Sira in this venture to provide essential training to our authorised assemblers to ensure that all legislative changes are acknowledged and understood, to protect the interests of everyone working within hazardous areas.

Following the success of the first course, we are repeating the same session later this year due to the high demand and will also be opening future courses to any personnel within the industry that will benefit from these technical sessions.
